Sigh

I don't want to say I'm "bored" at work. That's not the right word choice, because I have a reasonably long (and growing) to do list. The to do list, unfortunately, doesn't contain anything I am particularly enthusiastic about doing. Is there such thing as summer doldrums? The worst is, most of the things on the to do list is work I've created for myself. Serves me right, asking for work.

Because really I've been fantasizing about going swimming up at the cottage (or going swimming anywhere for that matter) and sitting on a beach or a dock and reading a page turning summer trashy novel. Basically anything but actual work. Oh to be rich and only work part time (and yet still have a satisfying and upwardly mobile part time job... eh, now there's a fantasy!)

Tonight I'm back to sail boat racing. Looks like there's a breeze, which will make things interesting. Its a bit hot out (its Houston in July, who am I kidding, its hotter than hell out there!)

Oh, Sarah posted some wonderful pictures from July 4 here. My favorite is the rainbow over the sails.

Piles Of Rock
A little bit of hope for the places I'll go, a few memories of the places I've been, and some humdrum in between to fill the white space.
