Farming

Since starting eating meat again, I've been kind of more aware of the things that made me stop eating it to begin with. Particularly the industrial agriculture process. Of course, this effects produce as well. Anyway, while searching for a place to buy local grass fed meat (which I have some leads on, but haven't found something perfect yet), I stumbled into Community Supported Agriculture. The NY Times has an article on the subject here.

Anyway, several friends have already joined a local C.S.A., and I am in the process of joining and looking forward to my fresh yummy local produce to arrive. Maybe this fall I'll even build the vegetable garden in my yard that I've been thinking of doing (for the last 6 years!).

Nothing other than that to report. Tonight is Byron's last night home before he heads to Anchorage. Things are sure going to be quiet without him around...

Piles Of Rock
A little bit of hope for the places I'll go, a few memories of the places I've been, and some humdrum in between to fill the white space.
