yay mission!

I'm really excited about the mission. Yay mission! I'm working Orbit 1 (the "Execute Shift") which is where all the cool trajectory action is, then I get to work Entry, which I'm totally psyched for. Entry has always been my interest, and I'm only going to get to work a couple of these, so that's going to be pretty cool too..

I only had one day this weekend, but I made it a full one. Friday night a few of us went to Mely's, and had fun. Then on Saturday, we woke, sailed, and saw S&theCity. Byron continues to "slave away" on the multi-layering process of venetian plastering my kitchen. I'm withholding judgement on this painting technique. Its obviously the most appropriate given the unfinished condition of the wall underneath the wallpaper. However, I think it looks a little old fashioned / traditional compared to the bright colors in the rest of my house ("chalky", in Byron's words). The color green we used (Fairmont Green) is very pretty.

Of course, painting comes in waves. We've been noticing how dull the molding looks against the new paint, so the molding now gets to be painted. And then the living room is the last room in the house with the boring white walls, so that needs to get painted too. Anyway. Byron makes me happy... does that make me easy to please?

Piles Of Rock
A little bit of hope for the places I'll go, a few memories of the places I've been, and some humdrum in between to fill the white space.
