Evolution

Biology can be fascinating, like this experiment in evolution shows. Yes, they are only demonstrating evolution in bacteria, but what's neat is that they've demonstrated that 1. a lot of evolution is repeatable (meaning same things happened in different colonies). 2. There are biological evolutionary flukes (citrate eaters) that can still spring into existence in rare colonies.

It amazes me when we have solid scientific demonstrations like this that people suggest evolution shouldn't be taught in schools, or suggest that mankind was created 6,000 years ago with one "zap" and a wave of the magic wand from god. If you are inclined to believe in god (which I'm not so sure I am), isn't it far more wonderful that S/he created such an elegent set of scientific principles to guide the universe that would eventually evolve in to the world we had today, a world that is still evolving into something even more amazing? How hard is it to believe that evolution is the methodology that such a god would use to create all manner of life on earth, including man?

Piles Of Rock
A little bit of hope for the places I'll go, a few memories of the places I've been, and some humdrum in between to fill the white space.
