I enjoyed my two days off. Yesterday Byron and I went into full 24-hours of vacation mode. That is, we slept in, went jet skiing, went to the Rodeo. The Rodeo was more crowded than I had ever seen it. Wall to wall people. We actually had to park illegally because all the lots were full (I think its a little irresponsible to have a stadium that can't support parking). We concerted. We rodeoed. We examined tractors and pickup trucks and cattle (Byron had never been in a stadium before but could identify all forms of cattle from his high school Ag class. Oklahoma is a weird place.) We ate BBQ.
He's off again today. Well, kind of. He went to start his 747 class in Miami which could keep him away anywhere between 3 - 9 weeks (ack!). This of course gives me the perfect excuse to travel home to south Florida at least a few times in the next couple of months. Does this mean he's not moving to Dubai? Not necessarily. He's going to give this class a run, but it won't be until next week before he has to make a real decision. So, the angst has been pushed off another week. Hopefully the seedy hotel they have him staying in won't turn him completely off life here in the U.S.
