The weekend, as usual, went by too fast.
In chronological order:
Got a lot of chores done... took some nice long walks... watched about 3 episodes of House... added about a foot of length to my afghan (yes, I have become someone's grandmother at the ripe old age of 28 with the crocheting thing. don't laugh.)... stayed up way too late talking on the phone to I.B. (what am I in high school again? 3 a.m.!?)... went sailing (again with I.B.)... had a guy yell over the rail at me at Outriggers "You're awesome, great job!" because I bothered to drag my lazy ass up and actually assist in docking and securing the boat (apparently the typical female response is to sit and watch. who would do that? I guess its a different world out there.)... did laundry... played Nintendo with the house guest (Dr. Mario, Legand of Zelda, and Maniac Mansion... all games I used to be good at! Now I suck at them. I need those detailed maps of the boards that I used to have, but its amazing how much I remember where things are and how to play by simple muscle memory. If there are muscles in your thumbs. How retro.)...
How's that for a summary?
Now work. Two night sims in a row. Then the rest of the week is pretty easy. But I need to get some beaucoup d'training done this week, because the next two weeks are basically continuous activity. Though I.B. is trying to get me to abandon work for 5 days in Playa Del Carma with another couple to do a short SCUBA course. And I've been meaning to get my certification for my imminent trip to Australia to visit Emily. Of course, I really just met this guy. Unfortunately because pilots have weird schedules said 5 days are Mon-Fri rather than over a weekend. What a waste of vacation time. Did I mention I'd have to abandon a really busy week at work to do this with basically a total stranger? Of course, it wouldn't be the first time I went to a foreign country with total strangers (see: Switzerland.) So much to analyze. I told him he had to give me another week to decide.
