I read the bios of local valedictorians here. Some are really inspiring. Except the kid who wants to study aerospace engineering with the hope of "designing space weapons." This sinister use of the technology that inspires me and drives me really bothers me. It bothers me that we're not inspiring kids to use aerospace technology to explore and dream, but instead to destroy. Hopefully it was just a horrible mis-quote on the part of the newspaper.

Clearly, I am getting nothing done this afternoon. I am thinking about buying an airplane. While googling "why buy an airplane", I found this best story every about aircraft ownership. Read it all, I started laughing outloud about halfway down.
