Three and a half days in Mexico: Swam in the most perfect crystal clear waters I have ever seen, went sailing, snorkeled in the reef and with the giant sea turtles, attempted to see if I could remember how to wind surf (I couldn't), rolled with laughter as I.B. fell off wind surf board about 300 times attempting to learn, swam in pretty pools with swim up bars, wandered the shops at Playa Del Carmen, negotiated for (love bargaining) and bought a hammock, went ziplining, swum in several cenotes (underwater caves), drank way too much (all-inclusive = free drinks), ate Mayan food (had to get off the Americanized all-inclusive reservation we were staying at for that one), saw the Mayan ruins of Tulum on their stunning cliff over looking the water, and almost didn't return as the security guard at the resort didn't want to let us leave this morning at 4 a.m. because we hadn't checked out of the room (I.B. was staying one more day and was just driving me to the airport, let's just say there was a language barreir plus the resort was kind of run like a high end prison where they tried to make it as difficult as possible for you to leave.)
In other words, it was a great vacation and wish I was still there and not here. Pictures to come.
Oooh, are we allowed to call him your boyfriend now? (Not that I won't call him that anyway.)
