Ok, first the real image everyone wants to see, the baby that almost got birthed on my couch, the child of two of my closest friends, may their life never be the same and only better from here on out Happy Birthday Carina Faye. All of us are avidly awaiting our invitation to go visit.

Of course, this makes the next set of pictures seem wholly unadventurous, but here they are anyway.

Mexico.

Tropical Paradise. Check out I.B.'s friend snorkeling in his cowboy hat. 10 years living in the south and you'd think I'd be used to all the redneck action, but no, a guy swimming in a cowboy hat and snorkel fins still makes me giggle. We saw sea turtles! And a baracuda! Also, I had to include one of the 10,000th time I.B. fell while trying to windsurf. And there's me buying a hammock at a roadside shop with my mad negotiation skills.

Then our little "alltournative" adventure of ziplining, bicycling (yes, Karen, Sarah, you can pick yourself off the ground, that is me on a bicycle, and the 1 mile hilly path we road was tons of fun... but still haven't decided I like bicycling.), and swimming in a cave.

Finally the gorgeous ruins of Tulum. Yeah for old piles of rock. Sorry for the schmoopy photos of I.B. and I, but we went alone and well it made all the pictures look schmoopy. I guess this makes us actually a couple. Weird. There were these Canadians we were drinking with one night and they asked how long we had been together, and I.B. said "3 months" by accident, and they almost fell off their chair that we would go to Mexico after only 3 months. When he corrected himself and said "3 weeks", one of the women DID fall of her chair in shock. What can I say, my life, its unusual. And see, even the iguanas (which were everywhere) were enjoying their time on the old piles of rock.

Living in up in Beverly Hills

These photos are long overdue. First, the party. Yes that is a cake with the feminist logo on it, with a White House and a Capitol building on top of it. Yes, its some cake. And yes, I am hoping that women are one day fairly represented in both places.

Of course, the Chinese Theatre where we could see how small the star's feet and hands are. Or how large.

And then the Getty Center. I took about a million pictures here. I love that Aunt Di made Granddad pose with that funny statue. It really wasn't possible to take a bad picture at the Getty Center.

That looks like awesome fun. I still think you're a tiny bit crazy, but it seems to have worked out well. Is there a chance that I.B. will be coming up to the cabin so that we can pass official judgement?

Jen and Gavin's baby is super-cute.

*If* we're still dating *and* he doesn't have to work, I imagine he will make it up to the cabin for you to give him a look over. His first introduction to the gang down here was fish night and that was pretty dramatic...

Yeah, it was a tiny bit crazy to go to Mexico with someone I barely know. Could've been a total disaster. But you only live once...

Oh, also, that black dress you wore in LA is seriously hot, with the shawl and the shoes and everything. Strong work.

Remember Me?

Piles Of Rock
A little bit of hope for the places I'll go, a few memories of the places I've been, and some humdrum in between to fill the white space.
