Ok, first the real image everyone wants to see, the baby that almost got birthed on my couch, the child of two of my closest friends, may their life never be the same and only better from here on out Happy Birthday Carina Faye. All of us are avidly awaiting our invitation to go visit.
Of course, this makes the next set of pictures seem wholly unadventurous, but here they are anyway.
Mexico.
Tropical Paradise. Check out I.B.'s friend snorkeling in his cowboy hat. 10 years living in the south and you'd think I'd be used to all the redneck action, but no, a guy swimming in a cowboy hat and snorkel fins still makes me giggle. We saw sea turtles! And a baracuda! Also, I had to include one of the 10,000th time I.B. fell while trying to windsurf. And there's me buying a hammock at a roadside shop with my mad negotiation skills.
These photos are long overdue. First, the party. Yes that is a cake with the feminist logo on it, with a White House and a Capitol building on top of it. Yes, its some cake. And yes, I am hoping that women are one day fairly represented in both places.
And then the Getty Center. I took about a million pictures here. I love that Aunt Di made Granddad pose with that funny statue. It really wasn't possible to take a bad picture at the Getty Center.
That looks like awesome fun. I still think you're a tiny bit crazy, but it seems to have worked out well. Is there a chance that I.B. will be coming up to the cabin so that we can pass official judgement?
Jen and Gavin's baby is super-cute.

*If* we're still dating *and* he doesn't have to work, I imagine he will make it up to the cabin for you to give him a look over. His first introduction to the gang down here was fish night and that was pretty dramatic...
Yeah, it was a tiny bit crazy to go to Mexico with someone I barely know. Could've been a total disaster. But you only live once...

Oh, also, that black dress you wore in LA is seriously hot, with the shawl and the shoes and everything. Strong work.
