I briefly entertained the idea of working at Microsoft...
Thank the heavens and sky above I didn't.
Software makes me so angry. My home software. My blog software. My work software. All all all software. Today I spent the better part of my day typing in numbers to an application just to make sure it worked when it was supposed to and gave errors when it was supposed to. I get paid a lot of money and had 4 years of some very difficult engineering education to be "qualified" to type in these numbers. Actually, what I'm really qualified for is to make the judgement call of how broken is still ok to fly a space ship with... because its going to be broken. Is there such thing as 100% perfect code? So, the question is "How broken is too broken?"
So frustrating.
Off to Happy Hour to make me Happy.
I fixed your comments. At least for now. You totally owe me dinner. :)

The only chance of perfect code is with a finite state machine. In that case, all the states can be checked so you can verify it's perfect.
