There are so many weeks where a sick day would be a welcome break. This week, when I have a full schedule, I am laid up with what I can only guess is a light flu, dragging myself in to the office. It hit pretty hard this morning, I hope it will be just as gone by tomorrow morning. The worst is that after two weeks of unrelenting rain and cold, today was the first sunny, gorgeous spring day. And I came home at 4 and went right to bed.
How do I know I'm sick? After only having a sandwich at lunch, I had to force down a grilled cheese for dinner. I *never* lose my appetite, even usually when I'm sick.
In other news, tomorrow I get to be the coolest cousin ever. Ask Aunt Shannon if you're curious.
So far my foray into match.com appears to me more of a success than last time I tried. I'm in the process of arranging two dates (two!) in the next week. We'll see if either of them work at and if either of the guys either see me and run or I see them and run. I felt like I should do full disclosure here because Gavin accused me of canceling fish night for a date. But no, I canceled fish night so I could lay in bed and feel sick. Hopefully the dates will be better. I've never actually been on a "real" get-to-know-you date. Every guy I dated from high school forward was a friend-to-more transition. I don't think as much can go wrong with that because you already know there is chemistry. Who'd have thunk I'd be nervous about dating.
